My rating is one of five. One being the worst and five being the best. If you grew up in the area you hear about SOSU, or as this website says SE Oklahoma St. for Southeastern Oklahoma State University. SOSU is the nearby college. In high school it is all about going to college or be unsuccessful and there are many programs to recruit to SOSU. They have upward bound which tours the college for future students. They paint a lovely picture. There are also continuing education instructors that have different programs at SOSU. And I was a complete idiot to think that high school would be better than college, a more mature and well behaved environment. Unfortunately it is the exact opposite. I enrolled there. It was very easy to enroll. They seem to want everybody to attend SOSU. Enrolling is very easy, but being able to stay in is difficult. I was watched by many staff members. Aren't they supposed to briefly watch everybody?! But instead they only watched me and it was constant staring for several seconds even when I caught them staring at me. There are people that work there that cuss at you and are very quick to judge and accuse. There are some people that work at SOSU that are actually very nice and helpful but when it comes to choosing between SOSU or helping a student that has been mistreated by SOSU, they will all stick together and side with SOSU. The quality of the education is excellent...at least the School Of Business. The building quality of most of the buildings is terrible and outdated. The science building is one of the worst and you can get stuck in the elevator. The fountain at the front of SOSU is broken. They built a new Student Union building which is too big for its location because they had to close down part of Montgomery Drive. The university has been infested with crickets. SOSU does not have a specific discipline policy which results in unfair punishment whether somebody actually did anything or not. I am not going to apply to SOSU ever again. Why would I? So they can be able to mistreat me more?! I am also not going to apply to any public university in the state of Oklahoma.
